Situational Intelligence

Disaster Tech’s Decision science Integrated Collaboration Environment (DICE) is a comprehensive situational awareness platform that can take in data, models, and text to communicate across teams. Disaster Tech believes in arming risk, disaster, and emergency managers with high-quality technology that alleviates communication obstacles. DICE provides real-time situational intelligence for before, during, and after disasters by using streaming data, data management, and data visualization tools.

Event Monitor

DICE’s Event Monitor function allows users to combine hazard and threat data that pose a risk to critical assets. The Event Monitor automatically alerts users through text, email, WhatsApp, Microsoft Teams, or other communication forms when an asset is threatened and provides context about the threat or hazard. In addition to notifying users of the severity of the risk, DICE also recommends protective actions that reduce risk and give responders time to prepare immediate actions.

Mission Manager

DICE’s Mission Manager feature allows users to coordinate and manage tasks across teams, such as resource requests or requests for information. Missions can be combined with Asset Monitor and Situational Intelligence to have a full view, geospatially and temporally, on how resources and tasks are managed and coordinated before, during, and after the disaster. Communicate and coordinate mission tasks with interagency, local, state, and private partners through the web browser or in Teams.

Real-time Data

With DICE, teams have access to open-source datasets from a cross-section of government, private, and academic sources. Industry data is pre-vetted to prevent errors and cleaned for easy ingestion, so datasets are immediately ready to deploy. Stream real-time data for decision support or utilize historical data for predictive modeling and training exercises. Teams can also upload their proprietary data files in CSV, JSON, and GeoJSON to private and secure data stores, which can be shared internally and externally using a Role Based Access Control (RBAC) schema for data management and access.

Notifications

Communication is vital during emergency situations. With the built-in Notification capability, users can email, text, or post to chats directly from DICE, keeping their team updated while the situation unfolds. Users can also share links or PDFs of the relevant dashboard, ensuring everyone is on the same common operating picture.
