We’re proud to welcome George Bamford II as Senior Advisor, bringing more than 30 years of leadership in national security, cybersecurity, and incident response. Before joining the PRATUS® team, Bamford held senior roles at CISA, the National Security Council, TSA, DHS, and the U.S. Coast Guard Reserve where he retired as a Captain.
When Bamford joined the PRATUS team, we asked him what drew him to this mission.
“When I reflect upon my time as Director of the National Infrastructure Coordinating Center or supporting the National Incident Command during the BP Deepwater Horizon oil spill, I can’t help but wish this AI capability for incident management had been available to support emergencies at the national, state and local levels.”
“The AI technology is cutting edge. The Microsoft Premier Partner status assuages CIO policy barriers to entry and deployment while the familiar Microsoft Teams operating environment minimizes ramp-up time for incident managers and risk analysts to demonstrate proficiency in using AI-enabled solutions.”
“The opportunity to help put PRATUS in the hands of risk management professionals across our Homeland and partner nations allows me to continue to contribute to our national preparedness and resilience in a most meaningful way.”
“My jaw dropped as I watched my first PRATUS demo. Then, I thought to myself ‘where was this when I needed it?’ PRATUS provides an AI and common operational capability for shared situational awareness that will become the standard for incident management, situational awareness and planning capability for emergency management professionals across the federal, state, local and private sector partners.”
A Coast Guard Academy graduate, Bamford holds an MPA from Harvard and an MBA from George Washington University. His career spans leadership in intelligence, defense operations, cybersecurity, and major incident responses, including Deepwater Horizon and 9/11.
Captain Bamford brings a combination of federal, civilian, and policy expertise to the PRATUS team. This deep operational insight ensures PRATUS continues to meet the real-world needs of emergency managers across government and industry.
Roger Coleman, President and co-founder of PRATUS, remarked:
“George brings clarity on where the market is headed and how best to position PRATUS as the most cost-effective, Microsoft-integrated solution available.”
Echoing this, Sean Griffin, CEO and co-founder, added:
“George is a fellow alumnus of the National Security Council where he led National Continuity Policy alongside our colleagues in the Resilience Directorate. Being at the forefront of our nation’s security challenges for decades, George embodies our ethos of mission driven leaders at PRATUS to deliver technologies to save lives and protect Americans anywhere around the world.”
PRATUS was built by practitioners, for practitioners, and the addition of Captain Bamford into the team reflects our deep commitment to the mission of delivering technologies for agencies and companies to save lives and protect communities.
