March 9, 2020, Washington DC- Disaster Technologies Incorporated is proud to announce the addition of three new employees to the DisasterTech team.
“DisasterTech is the reason I can wake up in the morning, read the latest news on climate change, and get to work knowing that hard-working people like us are giving the future a fighting chance.”
Andrew Foster is a platform engineer with an academic background in astrophysics, systems administration, and satellite data management. Before joining DisasterTech, Andrew was a graduate student at Cornell University’s Department of Astronomy and Space Sciences. There he used the Cassini spacecraft’s Visual and Infrared Mapping Spectrometer to study the carbon cycle on Saturn via the use of starlight occultation modeling and was selected as one of NASA's FINESST grant recipients for his work.
“I used to be excited by dreams of humanity's future in space, but recent events have shifted my focus to our planet - Earth - and making sure that our launch pad is stable enough for humanity's future to fully take off. Disaster Tech is helping to secure and protect the opportunities in front of our race from the mistakes of our past."
Dana Nottingham comes from a research and policy background and will assist in coordinating the team’s operations. Prior to accepting this position, Dana worked as a Legislative Associate at a small government affairs firm, advocating for cities around the country on issues including funding for infrastructure and disaster relief.
“We are living in an era with an unprecedented level of natural disasters, and DisasterTech is working to provide life-saving information to those who need it most. I am so excited to be a part of this mission, and I look forward to seeing what the future holds.”
